Christmas Mini Reading Challenge

Sometimes, it’s hard to take a moment away from our task lists when we’re busy in the holiday season. However, we can manage other stresses much better when giving ourselves a little time to unwind each day. And there is no better way to unwind in December than picking up a Christmas book!

We put together a quick Christmas Reading Challenge to encourage you to continue making a little time for yourself this month. It’s only a 4-book challenge, AND one is a New Year’s Eve book that we recommend picking up during the week between Christmas & the New Year. We wanted it to be just challenging enough that you’ll need to read every week, but not overwhelming.

To complete the challenge, read one book from each of the four prompts below. You can read in any order and choose from our list of recommendations or pick a book from your own TBR list.

Prompt #1: Book Club Worthy Christmas Read

While we LOVE a cheesy holiday romance, we also enjoy holiday books that dive a little deeper and contain discussion-worthy plots and quotes.

Prompt #2: Book that Became a Hallmark Movie

Hallmark Christmas movies have become a classic holiday tradition for many families. Choose a book that was turned into a movie, and then consider streaming the movie to see how they compare.

Prompt #3: A Christmas Cozy Mystery or Thriller

Whether you lean toward scary thrillers or punny cozy mysteries, distract yourself from your holiday to do list with one of these whodunits.

Prompt #4: A Book Set Around New Year’s

A few years ago, we discovered how much we enjoyed designating a book to read in the week between Christmas and New Year. We love putting one of these books on our Christmas wish list each year!

Now that you know the prompts, just sign up in the box below to get your Christmas Reading Challenge coloring page tracker!

You won’t get duplicate emails if you’re already signed up for one of our other challenges. And if you’re not signed up for one of our 2024 challenges, be sure to check out all five options!
