2025 Fall Mini Reading Challenge

With cooler temperatures in the forecast and leaves showing hints of fall color, we’re thrilled to be transitioning from beach reads to books with a bit more depth for the autumn season. While we’ll always love our annual reading challenges, sometimes it’s fun to enjoy the quicker win of completing a smaller challenge.

For fall, we’ve prepared a four-book challenge. As always, we’ll provide book recommendations for each reading prompts! Below the prompts, you’ll find a box to sign up to receive the fall coloring page/challenge tracker.

To complete the challenge, read one book from each of the four topics below. You can read in any order and either choose from our recommendations or pick a book from your own TBR list. PS: We also have a separate Halloween Mini-Challenge!

Prompt #2: Friends & Family

Fall reminds us of spending time with family for Thanksgiving, or with our found family for Friendsgiving. Pick from a book about Thanksgiving, or a book about great friendships for this prompt!

Prompt #3: A Book About Education

No matter what the calendar says, our internal clocks tell us that back-to-school season is the unofficial start of fall. Pick up a novel or non-fiction read that is related to education.

Hi! I am signed up for emails but wondering how we get the tracker we can color? Thanks!

    1. Melissa George says:

Hi Kelsey, If you still have this morning’s email, the third black button in the Fall Challenge section should open the tracker for you to print. If you can’t find it, email us at [email protected] letting us know you’re having trouble getting a copy and we can reply with the file for you! Thanks!

  2. I’m already enjoying the Book Lovers Challenge and this sounds fun as well! Is there a recommended start date?

    1. Melissa George says:

You’re welcome to start as soon as you’re ready! We know some reader’s are still finishing up summer books so won’t start until September, but others are starting ASAP so they can finish fall and be ready for the Christmas challenge. Totally up to you!

  3. Maybe I missed it, but will there be another Instagram template that can be edited on Canva? I’ve enjoyed doing that for my summer challege even though I still have one more book to add.

Hi Tiffany, we just updated the post to include them! Thanks for the reminder!
